Fun Stuff

Ahh yes the good stuff... the fun stuff... the stuff we all laugh at... Well maybe but this is actually stuff on the Packers I had nowhere else to put so it's here....

First a few reasons why you oughta like the Packers... no matter who your team is... Like the Pack and your team or just like the Pack or there's one other choice...

Detroit Lions - You live close enough you can come to a game where the home team wins.
Minnesota Vikings - If you want to see your team get a ring...
Tampa Bay Buccaneers - We let you win one.
Chicago Bears - WE DON'T WANT YOU!!!
San Fransisco 49ers - you already had rings you didn't need more.
Carolina Panthers - We're both good at beating San Fran...
Jacksonville Jaguars - You took all our players.
Saint Louis Rams - Saint Louis is cool... I cheer for the rams so you can cheer for the Packers.
Houston Oilers - You get to cheer for a winning team.
Buffalo Bills - same reason as the Vikings.
New York Giants - Hey what have we ever done to you???
New York Jets - Are there really Jets fans??
Oakland Raiders - We can beat the Broncos.
Kansas City Chiefs - GREAT GOOGLY MOOGLY!!!! (I LOVE THAT COMMERCIAL!)
San Diego Chargers - It was the 49ers that cost you the ring not us!
New Orleans Saints - You'd be cheering for an NFL team.
Miami Dolphins - You're in the AFC we never play you.
Indianapolis Colts - You took our coach.
Philidalphea Eagles - We hate the Cowboys too.
New England Patriots - We let you score.
Cincinati Bengals - BOOMER RULES!
Baltimore Ravens - We've only beat you once.
Pittsburg Steelers - I'm forever in your debt! (Thanks Yancy!)
Denver Broncos - Why not?
Seattle Seahawks - I like the Sonics?
Cleveland Browns - At least we have a team!
Arizona Cardinals - I've got a Cardinals' hat.
Washington Redskins - I cheered for you in the Superbowl.
Atlanta Falcons - I can't think of a good reason... if you can e-mail it to me
Dallas Cowboys - We don't want you but if your willing to switch over and become a full fledged Packer fan but need a little push... You're team is in trouble with the law... If you don't believe me read the top ten.

Now as promised the top ten signs your team is in trouble with the law...
10)Instead of figurines called "Starting Line-ups" your teams figurines are called "Police Line-ups" 9)Your starting QB has spent more time at the stae pen than at Penn State. 8) Spiffy blue and silver uniforms are replaced with spiffy orange jumpsuits. 7)To save time press conferences are scheduled during the police line up. 6)Prior convictions now listed on the back of trading cards. 5) players frequently go over to Williams's house to watch "game films" 4)Instead of first and ten it's five to ten. 3) Your new defensive cordinator is Johnny Cochran. 2)It's mid-March and they're still on the front page. And now the number one sign your team is in trouble with the law is... There's more coke sold in the locker room than the concession stands!!!

Now I realize this next bit is a little old and doesn't quite fit anymore but it's a classic....

Our Favre,
Who art in Lambeau,
Hallowed be thine arm.
The bowl will come,
It will be won.
In New Orleans as it is in Lambeau.
And give us this Sunday,
Our weekly win.
And give us many touchdown passes.
But do not let others pass against us.
Lead us not into frustration,
But deliver us to Bourbon street.
For thine is the MVP, the best of the NFC, and the glory of the
Cheeseheads,
now and forever.
Go get 'em!!!

OK as promised here are a few Packer jokes...

Packer Jokes

The Packer Fan

A Packer fan was enjoying himself at the game in a packed Lambeau Field, until he noticed an empty seat down in front. He went down and asked the guy next to it if he knew whose seat it was. The guy said, "Yes, that's my wife's seat. We have never missed a game since the Lombardi days, but now my wife is dead." The fan offered his sympathy and said it was really too bad he couldn't find some relative to give the ticket to and enjoy the game together. "Oh no," the guy said, "they're all at the funeral."

The Packer Fan In Heaven

A devout Packer fan died and had just arrived in heaven (that's where all Packer fans go you know). He was talking to an angel trying to get the low down on what heaven was going to be like. He asked the angel if there were any former packers in heaven. The angel replied, "Sure, all the greats are here."

He then asked the angel if they played football and the angel replied that in heaven, every day is Packer Sunday and the Pack always wins. Being very excited the fan asked if Vince Lombardi was there and as he asked, he saw a man with dark rimmed glasses, a heavy overcoat, and a cap that looked strangely like the one Vince Lombardi wore in the Ice Bowl. When asked excitedly if that was him, if that was Vincent T. Lombardi, the angel replied, "No, that was just God. He just thinks he's Lombardi."

The Light Bulb

Q: How many people does it take to change a light bulb at Lambeau Field?

A: Three. One to change it and two to talk about how good the old one was.

Cold Feet

On the night after the Ice Bowl, Vince Lombardi got into bed with his wife, Marie. Marie said "God your feet are cold". Vince said, "In bed you may call me Vincent, Dear!"

It is believed that this is actually a true story.

A: A thief.

What About Iowa?

The River

The Dog

A man walked into a bar and sat down for a drink. He noted a dog intently watching a Packers - Bears game. Whenever the Packers scored, the dog would jump onto the bar and do an animated dance. This happened over and over as the Packers scored again and again, and at the end of the game the dog let out a loud howl and ran out of the bar.

The man thought this was pretty unusual and asked the bartender, "Gee that's amazing. What happens when the Bears win?"

The bartender replied "I don't know, the dog's only 4 years old."
